TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking

The initial meeting is free of charge, there is no obligation thereafter and the date you have in mind will be held for 7 days. This meeting allows you to get to know each other and for Jon to get an understanding of the ceremony you have in mind. He will begin to create a service using your own ideas and the catalogue of verses, vows, prayers, music and the like at his disposal.  A provisional booking will be held for a period of 7 days, if there is no confirmation in that time, or the deposit is not received within a further 7 days after confirmation, your booking will be cancelled and the date released for use by other families.

The client will need to complete and return the booking form which Jon will bring to the initial meeting.

Additional Costs

Jon is more than happy to cover the costs for travel to the initial meeting, a rehearsal if required and the ceremony itself, if within 30 miles of his home address near Newark. Mileage in excess of 30 miles, will be charged at a rate of 50p a mile.

If you require a very early ceremony, at dawn perhaps, or a midnight ceremony, and Jon is needed to stay overnight, then the hotel will be charged at cost to the client.

Similarly, if the distance is of such a nature to require a train or flight, that again will be charged at cost to the client.

Any additional clothing or fancy dress is required on the behest of the client, it will be charged at cost to the client.

As agreed for personal keepsakes (other than the script / wedding certificate ) such as candles, wine, sand, vases, stones or ribbons in handfasting and such like are wanted by the client, it will be charged to them at cost.

Payment

A 50% deposit is required after the confirmation of the booking and the final 50% payment will be required 28 days prior to your ceremony.  Once full payment is received your final ceremony script will be sent to you.

If the ceremony is booked for less than 28 days, full and final payment will be required within 7 days of the confirmation and a date for the final script will be agreed with you.

Cancellation

Should you wish to cancel your ceremony prior to 28 days before the event the full 50% deposit will be charged to cover costs.  A cancellation with less than 28 days to the event, the full fees will apply. However, any postponement of the event shall be honoured as long as there is availability to do so.  In this event, you should discuss dates with Jon in order to ensure he can honour your requests, otherwise the above cancellation fees will apply.
