Naming Ceremonies
NAMING CEREMONIES ARE BECOMING AN INCREASINGLY POPULAR IN OUR SOCIETY WITH THE MIXTURE OF CULTURES AND FAMILIES NOW LOOKING FOR ALTERNATIVES TO BAPTISMS OR CHRISTENINGS. IT GIVES AN OPPORTUNITY BEFORE FAMILY AND FRIENDS, TO DECLARE YOUR PROMISE TO YOUR CHILD, TO GUIDE, LOVE AND SUPPORT THEM THROUGHOUT LIFE. IT IS AN OCCASION WHERE PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, ROLE MODELS AND NOMINATED ADULTS CAN PLEDGE THEIR SUPPORT TO HELP GUIDE AND NURTURE YOUR CHILD FROM INFANCY TO ADULTHOOD.
They are not necessarily just for new born babies, you can have a naming ceremony as a way of introducing your adopted child into your family. It can also signify a change in name, you may wish to wait until your child is older and can participate in the ceremony or it to may be a way to welcome a step-child and unite your families.
Jon can design the ceremony to suit your personal style and be at a location that is special to your family, your home, a village hall or some beautiful gardens. You can give the event a sense of ritual and ceremony by including personally selected music, readings, poems, promises or pledges to the child. He is free to ensure it is full of joy and promise, encouraging other siblings to get involved, creating a special day for all the family. It is after all, a celebration!
There are so many different things that can be included to add to the celebrations, such as planting a tree, scattering of seeds, a Rose Petal Blessing, sand ceremonies, writing in a wish book, or creating a time capsule.
It would be a great pleasure for Jon to be a part of this special celebration, he would love the opportunity to work with you to create the ceremony your family deserves.

Kind Words About Eternal Ceremonies
“When it came to choosing a celebrant for our son’s naming day, we always knew we were in safe hands with Jon. His communication was friendly and focused but never pushy. He made it very easy for us to develop the ceremony we wanted and suggested some really touching additions. The event went perfectly and the comments from friends and relatives were universally positive.
Jon provided us with the most heart warming and personal service for our little boy on his naming day. Jon is a friend of old, and we had no doubt in his ability to conduct a beautiful ceremony with sincerity and humour.
Put simply, it takes a lot to move me to tears but there is photographic evidence !!! It was a day enjoyed by everyone, including the star of the show – our little boy… Thank you Jon.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone..”
